Not true. eg Sean Connery, George Clooney, Patrick Swayze, Mark Wahlberg, Demi Moore, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Salma Hayek, Gabriel Byrne, Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz, Johny Depp, Catherine Zeta Jones, Jude Law...need I go on. All major names 10 years ago. They can all act too! They can hold their own. Also depends on what you consider hot. I don't like angelina jolie, scarlett johannsen, jamie foxx or beyonce but others love them,

Not that necessarily this makes anyone hotter.
The hot stars are the ones who are able to just be themselves without all the freaking cosmetic surgery.
Unfortunately Hollywood is a shallow and competitive place

I disagree. I cannot think of one female movie star that I would want to spend more than 5 minutes with. As far as guys you could be right- as a straight guy, I cannot tell.

Either it is due to global warming or it is because there is less censorship and performers are now allowed to get away with raunchier things - indeed some are expected to. But greenhouse gas methane must have something to do with it somewhere as so many movie stars are cr*p.
