Mormon or not, I'm kinda liking this guy and what he has to say.

Your thoughts?

I recall when he stepped in to save the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, he built a team that turned these games into a huge success, when they had been on the brink of serious disaster.
Can he do this with America?

I really like him too. I have Morman friends, bazaar religion, but GREAT family people & values! I like that his conservative, but not too far right. I think He has a good chance of winning the primary. Right now he is the only candidate I'd vote for.

He comes off as sort of a moderate you know, not a wacked out conservative who would have no chance of being elected. He was governor of Massachusetts which is a pretty liberal state so you know he has to be a moderate or he would not be able to get elected there. And anyone who comes off as a lib or conservative will not be elected President. Bush is a moderate Kerry and Gore were left of center and Bush got Dem votes because the Dem Party is actually pretty moderate with the lunatic left making as much noise in that party as the lunatic right does in the Republican Party Thank got the extremes X each other out as this country is way to diverse to have either a lib or conserv President. If you think Mitt Romney is a conservative you are wrong.

Contrary to what the brain-dead around here believe, it is not necessary for a Republican candidate to be a "fundie," in order to elicit our support. I do think it is important to remember that we have a sitting President, and some time before primaries. Many of the Democrats who are running will have worn themselves out by then. And Congress will hardly get anything done. I do not like Giuliani, b/c I do not think he can take the South. Of the ones you listed, I like McCain. I think we will be looking for a solid military type for the Presidency, because someone will have to finish the job in Iraq and deal with Iran. Also, I want someone who will come up with the right position and do something about illegal immigration. I will add that I am a fundie. And I like James Dobson. But I do not see his role in politics as his best suit. And you have not mentioned who Robertson is supporting, and I think that is a better indication of how the US will go, don't you?

He is very viable, as long as people listen to him with an open mind. He is ultra intelligent and has always found success, except for when he ran against ultra dem Kennedy in Massachusets in 1994. His faith teaches him to be involved in the community and try to make a difference, but they don't require you to vote or act a certain way. There are many Mormons who are Democrats, even the Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid. Religion shouldn't be an issue, but we should look at the man's morals, record, and agenda. I've always leaned Democrat, but I really like this guy.

He will have to overcome two of biggest challenges in running for president --- Money and Name Recognition. Sadly, these two play a huge factor, and if Romney wants to make a run at it, he'll need to start raising alot of money fast and make his name known in all the states, not just a few. If he can do this, then Yes - he has chance at becoming the Republican candidate for president.

Yes he is... his father was the Governor of Michigan (so he's that that Al Gore, Jr. sort of 'silver-spoon purpose') -- and name recognition now in a few states, as a office holder. If he won in seriously Democratic Massachusetts -- he can win over the country on some level.

Judging by the speech he gave here in Des Moines yesterday, he doesn't appear too intelligent, and could possibly be a clone of George Bush.

Does anybody know the history of Mormon religion? If you do then you know that they'll believe anything anybody says as long as they say "God told me."

God told me to not vote for Mitt Romney.
