i getting marry again in sept.2007.but i have to move to st.louis.where my future husband is.but i have 4 young adult childern.two stay with me.they are my18 years old draughter and my20years old son.my draughter sometime don,t get along with the stepmother.so is wrong for me not to take her with me? do this make me a bad mother. please give me some advice.

Well, given they are adults, maybe they should figure out where they would rather live. You are not really leaving them there. They are grown and can go where they want. Tell them you are moving to St. Louis, and are welcome to come. If they don't want to move, they can stay with Dad, or get their own place.

Well, although they are your children they are not children anymore! I don't think it makes you a bad mother to move away from them unless they have other issues related to their well being that you have not mentioned. They are adults now and I guess they need to start to be independent. If your daughter has the option to move in with her dad and step mom it isn't like you left her for the streets. She needs to learn to get over the fact that her and her step mom don't see eye to eye and either move in with them or maybe her brother and her can get an apt. together.

Hello,
I feel that you should take your daughter with you if she wants to move and live with you. She is an adult now and can make the decision where she wants to live. If she is eight and wants to go you should take her too. As long as he has you for her mother she should be okay. I feel you taking her will be the best thing for her. JMHO

no you have mothered for 18 years get on with your life she is old enough to come visit if she wants. besides 18 shouldnt she b n collage or something

Why can't they go with you? I would want them with me. No, I don't think it makes you a bad mother but invite them with you and have them get jobs or go to school where you are. If not, you'll miss them terribly.
