If you've inherited anything, you would never be notified by email. You would be contacted by the estate representative and called to a meeting. At that meeting you and any other interested parties would be read the will. It's unlikely there would be a 10 day window for you to claim the money--if it's yours, it's yours.
If, by chance, maybe this has all happened and they have been trying to track you down and there really is a time frame, then respond to the email and agree to meet the representative. But do NOT give out your social security number, bank account number or anything else!!! If this is legit, then all they need is a meeting with you so you can view and sign some documents.

You are waiting on what? You might ask who the lawyer is that is handling the estate, then talk to him. Get the details and go for it. Again, what are you waiting for? If you don't want it, give it to me--there's lots of charities that need help, there's lots of investments to be made. Wealth isn't just mansions and big cars. Wealth means you have the means to do the work you really want to do. It also means that when you do, you are the boss, or if you hire a manager, you are the boss' boss. Go for it.

basically tell the guy that you fairly like what ever it is you want and that in the adventure that they ought to go away it to you upon their demise, you would take very solid care of it and cherish it till your demise. i don't think of it is disrespectful. i'd a lot quite go away some thing to someone that would cherish it than to someone who would basically throw it out and characteristic no regards for it. after all, it is in trouble-free terms cloth issues. at the same time as i grow to be a touch female, my grandmother had a dressing table and on it a pair of lamps or a prince and princess. i presumed they were beautiful and requested her at the same time as she died if i'd have them. She suggested certain. properly, I were given them in the previous she died because she lived with me the most suitable 5 years of her existence. Now that i grow to be an grownup, i fairly did not like the pink and blue lamps yet I saved them besides and ultimately bought them in a storage sale many years after her demise.

If it was a legitimate inheritance, they would NOT contact you via email. They would call and/or send you certified mail. Do not give them any personal information, such as social security, bank accounts etc. If you really think it is real, then contact them in person.

Take it, give back part of it to the society, do something for the society. If this relative has children of his own, you might want to secure something for them too. Someone did you a good turn , spread the happiness. Of course you keep some for yourself.

If you inherited it, it is not going to be confiscated. The executor of the will has the duty to see that you received it.
