You have to accept that you wont download any copyrighted material when you download it. So it is up to you to do so or not...
you can download programs, songs, movies, etc... everything!

I downloaded limewire and it seemed to slow my computer down a lot. I paid a one time-lifetime membership fee of about $30.00 and found out later that I was ripped off that it is actually free. So don't pay a fee. I don't know how legal it is. I thought I could download all the songs because I paid the "FEE" but that is apparently not so. I believe it is still illegal to just down load any songs you want.
