hey, I have a fender strat, and originally I used to just keep it aside and watch it, so even though i owned it i never felt it was MINE. But then I started playing it and playing it and playing it. Playing it and jumping around, it got its fair share of bumps and falls and I had to repair the output jack because the wires came undone. But then that is the true meaning of having a guitat that is YOU right? You play the heck out of it, thats what John Frusciante, David Gimlour did... does anyone else feel this way?

While i can't speak for anyone else, I play at least 3 hrs. a day. Sometimes i just freestyle"whatever i feel at the time" or go down the list if songs i know, or get the sheet and learn something new. I've been playing for close to twenty yrs. and love it just as much as i did when i first picked it up. My myspace page says it best"can't live a day without my guitar". My wife says jokingly id rather play my guitar than w/ her. And i feel if you are passionate about something, nothing else matters.

Heck yes! Playing guitar is an experience, not just a talent you show your Grandma! I think it's amazing how you can extract all this raw Emotion from your guitar. I'm a proud Fender Strat player, and everytime I play it's like something you can't describe, you start to play, shaking your head, tapping your foot, turn the volume up, stand up, kick your leg on top of the amp, strike a pose and play! It's all about the 'interaction' between you and the guitar. The weather-beaten, I've-snapped-the-neck-so-many-times-on-this-thing-and-I-Love-It! feeling that you get when you look at it and then have to pick it up again.

Hahaha....that's what its about.

I feel the same way. I Sometimes I don't feel like I am playing guitar, sometimes I feel my guitar is playing me. It is all about emotion. So if you have some damage to your Axe it just shows your playing the hell out of it. I love the Chili Peppers

that sounds awesome. I wish I could play that well. I just strum right now, so I can't play the heck out of it yet.
