I just found out what my husband has been writting on here with his gf. When I confronted him with the truth he lied and said he didn't do it , but I showed him what I found on his account and then he told me it was just for fun. Also when I found the phone calls and had proof it was her he was calling he lied about that too. Why cant he just tell me the truth instead of lieing to me?

Men can tell the truth. However, we get into trouble that way too. Truth can be painful.

The reason your husband lied is because he is ashamed of what he did.
Whether it was serious or not, he still had reason to feel guilty and it made him too ashamed to tell the truth.
Anytime you feel you need to do something secretly in a marriage, it's always a bad sign. Even if "nothing happened" at some level, he must know it's wrong to secretly write to a girlfriend or call her on the phone. If this was a mere friendship, he would not feel the need to hide it.
I would suggest you and he go for marriage counseling. And tell him from this point on, there are no more secrets. Tell him you will not be angry at him if he has friends who happen to be women, but that you want to meet them too. You should not be kept in the dark, and you need to let him know that you will not have any more of that.

Most people lie. I won't go so far as "House" and say that 'everyone lies', but most do at some point.
The only person I've ever know whom I'd have staked my life that she wouldn't lie, lied to me. She lied, surprisingly over something just to prevent an uncomfortable social situation.
With lovers and those that can be, I've a very hard rule about not lying to them.
With regards to your husband, I'm not sure I would know what to tell you and it wouldn't be my place to anyway. Only you know what you are willing to do and what you are willing to put up with.

It truly relies upon on the guy, yet extremely some the time that doesnt remember besides, i knew an exceedingly womanizing guy who enjoyed extensive busts on stupid bimbo's now he has been in a serious relationship with a flatish lady who's becomeing a vet and he's amazingly pleased with himself!

if he tell the truth it will help you i dont think so you have a big marittal problem and you need some proffesional help you know his guilty--PERIOD now the question is what you will do leave him, divorce him.get a marriage councellor before its too late because if he lied now he will lie to you foreever beside you his got a gf ohhh what a life now that you confronted him have a heart to heart talk with him have a good romantic diner with him and asked your self WHAT SHE GOT THAT I DONT HAVE?

I'm not sure generalizing works with all men.. In my case.. It doesn't. The reason he can't tell the truth is you caught him in a lie and he's just doing what he did as a kid. trying to cover up.. It didn't work then and it won't work now.. Tell him.. it's your way or the Highway!

Because he is dumb and stupid to the fact that he is being used by the other woman. Until he realize that he will continue. But while is thinking he is playing you for a fool, he is being played. So just sit back and get your own thing going and let him continue his little game. I would separate myself from him if he is not your husband, then don't settle for the disrespect.

This is why men lie. What right is it of your to go browsing through his personal things? There are some things you just don't go browsing through. From the way you talk to do this quite often looking for dirt, so perhaps he knew you do and though "I'm sick of this, I'm going to give her a reason to look through it.".
