Coelho as well - Diary of Magician.
I liked Veronika, partially b'coz it takes place in former Yugoslavia. But on the first place it is a great book, I liked guy from sanatorium, can't remember his name. Did you know that it is based on trues story and also on personal experience of Coelho, who spend sometime in sanatorium as young man? He himself was a model for that guy.
Great choice!

hey, i have read that book too. a superb choice. i love coelhos' works. but i found The Zahir to be a bit disappointing. The Alchemist and The Manual of the Warrior of Light are the works which i love most

I just finished Animal Dreams by Barbara Kingsolver. It was okay, but I am not a big fan of her writing. Her characters seem self-involved and preachy. I am now reading The Wonder Spot by Melissa Bank, and am enjoying it very much. I love her self-deprecating humor. She is also the author of The Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing.
