They are good for business if you are the one selling the idea. I would stay away from them. If you want ideas on how to start a business online check out some magazines online that are not going to fleece you and give you a bunch of pep talks then say you are not cut out for the online business market (Never fell for this one but surprised by many that do). They are just looking out for their own self interest and not yours, which is what you are paying them to do.

SCORE (link below) is a good network to tap if you are looking to start a business. They are retired executives that mentor budding entrepreneurs

I suppose they are legit.
They offer information.

They probably tell you what tools are needed for ecommerce and how to go about using the tools.
It is like any other book or training material.
It is a competitive market already, so it will be tough.
They just show you how to get started.
They don't actually tell you what to sell.

It is funny when I think about it.
An online website to train people how to make money making using an online website.

It reminds me of a joke.
There was an advertisement in the newspaper.
Send in $10.00 to recieve a copy of how to make a lot of money with little or no effort.
So, the guy sent in the $10.00 and received the following statement.
"Take out ad's in the paper asking people to send you $10.00"

Ask yourself if their business is so good why are they franchising it instead of using it themselves?

Mostly they are selling you an idea for advertising in your local area. You still have to go out and drum up the business!

The vast majority of people who buy these type of "franchises" fail but of course you never hear about them. This is not necessarily because the franchise is lousy but the type of person who buys a franchise is usually not really suited to settting up and starting their own business, they want their hands held (and they pay dearly for it!) because they are dreamers!

Rule of thumb for franchise operations, after 2/3 years only 20% will have made it!

If they say that they train you to start an online business, it's got to be a scam. You know why? Because if they know how, they wouldn't be teaching you! Does ebay train you? No, because they're busy making money.
