Glasgow Central Train Station to Glasgow Airport? (Not prestwick) Whats the cheapest way?

The Scottish Citylink bus service takes you right to the main terminal at Glasgow Airport.

There is a bus roughly every 15 minutes.

It will cost you £3.50.

You can get on the bus at St Vincent Street, rather than walking up to the Buchanan Bus Station.

Option1: Take a train First ScotRail from Glasgow Central Station (6.30am) to Prestwick Airport Station (7.15am). The station is connected to the terminal by a walkway over the A79 road, and platforms are easily accessed by stairs, escalators and lifts. Option 2: Get a taxi. That will cost you more than train actually (32 miles away from city center) Option 3: By bus. Take a bus X77 from Buchanan Bus Station (as the link)

As others here have said, you'll have to get the bus to Glasgow Airport either from Buchanan Street, or if you're already travelling by train, get it from Paisley Gilmore Street. It stops right outside Paisley Gilmore Street and it's closer than Glasgow Central. If you're travelling from Glasgow Central to Paisley Gilmore Street, there's a train roughly every 5 or 10 minutes on weekdays, a bit less often on a Sunday. You want Ayr, Largs, Ardrossan, Wemyss Bay and Gourock trains.

There is no rail service to Glasgow Airport - yet! One is on the cards and should be completed within the next few years.
