It's incredibly unlikely that the Giants would use a first or second round pick on an RB given that the job belongs to Brandon Jacobs next year. They have other needs, including reloading a defense that has not been getting any younger. Both their corners are over 30, so I think that will be a priority going in. Just look at the way that the defense let them down in some of their pitiful collapses down the stretch.
There are too many defensive needs, and Jacobs has too much potential, for them not to go defense in the draft and hand the ball to Jacobs for rushing duties.
Peterson and Lynch are out of the question. Cost to trade up is WAY too high.

Sighn one of the following FA's Ahman Green, Michael Turner, or Dominic Rhodes...or the draft. Maybe a combination of the two. They could draft a rookie in the 3rd or 4th round and groom him into being a change of pace back to go along with the Power of B. Jacobs.

I have a feeling they will keep Jacobs, but they will draft a RB in the 1st-3rd rounds. Possibly lynch, like you said, but not peterson he will be taken by the Browns or Lions. They might take Michael Pittman.

The Bills would be happy to trade them Willis McGahee for their 1st or 2nd round pick.
The Giants will probably go with Jacobs and a change of pace vet, maybe Rhodes or Green. I guess they could draft someone in the middle rounds too, but that'd be an extremely young backfield.

They will keep Jacobs, but he will NOT be the only running back the Giants use. I think they will search free agency and try to get either one of the Bells in Denver or someone else.
But I do NOT think Jacobs will be the only back. Two back commetties work, just look at the teams that made the playoffs, almost all of them, had a 2-back system.

They will probably sign a veteran speed back to back up or gradually give away carries to Jacobs, but i personally would like to see the "Monster" as a number 1 back, just imagine a 6'4 250 maybe 260 pound back with some speed coming at you for 20 carries a game and 3 or 4 catches.

I thought they should move up in the draft and try to get Marshawn Lynch

Jacobs will be their starting running back but I wouldnt be surprised if they got another running back that could catch out of the backfield and had speed. they are probably going to draft or get a free agent similar to warrick dunn who is small and fast.

Look for the Giants to make a lot of moves this offseason. I heard a stud RB from Norte Dame really wants to be a Giant, hopefully they are listening!!!
