I'm English but I think Australia will win.

Pakistan are looking good as are India... they both have top quality batsmen (Inzimam and Yousof for Pakistan and Ganguly and obviouslly Dhoni and Tendulkar) backed up with good bowling but I don't think either are acustomed to the Caribean pitches.
Sri Lanka are a strong team but have some obvious holes that need to be filled.
England I feel will improve as a one day team but wont get that far unless they get kind opposition along the way.
The West Indies will be playing at home in conditions they know well and they have a strong team... good young bowlers and experienced batting from Chanderpaul, Lara etc.
West Indies and Pakistan would be my favourites but what it comes down to is...
Australia are awesome. With Hussey now in the team and Ponting seemingly better than ever, a good mix of youth and experience at the top of the order and for the bowling, I don't think many people would doubt them. If the conditions suit them then their opposition will have to work bloody hard and get their tactics perfect to stand a chance. Even though they got beat by England they still have quality. However is those missing really matter it could give others the opportunity... which they will need to take.

Well.looking at the performances in the last matches the favourite teams played in the last year, Aussies are quite strong to win the World Cup, but then again the mighty Aussies were brought down to earth by a team who lost 5-0 in the ashes but went on to win the CB series, well then again that is cricket.saffa? well yeah strong but do not underestimate the boys from India, West Indies And The Mighty Sri Lankans.

Sri Lanka
they play simple cricket 4 fieldiers in the circle and 5 outside
they keep the bowling tight
its out of india and australia to get into the final

Even though England have recently beaten Australia i don't think they are good enough to beat the likes of India or Pakistan, but i think Australia will bounce back and prove to be the best again

i think a resurrgent west indies will make the most of home advantage and take the trophy. it will also provide a springboard (through renewed youth interest) for the windies to become a force in world cricket again.

Cricket is better for teams like W.I and S.A being stronger

(that is of course if anyone can stop the mighty mighty england... everywhere we go-oh....)

Australia have got to be hot favourites by quite a stretch, and should win it easily if they are on song, other than that, South Africa are there only real challengers, Pakistan are in embarrassing form and the others need to be consistently brilliant to even stand a chance.

Favourites must be Australia, but anyone other than the minnows could. I reckon the Windies or the Subcontinentals will probably do best. My bet - India!

Australia still have to be favourites but England and India have a chance.
