Why are the roads so bumpy in toronto.

My friend, you obviously haven't been to Montreal....

Toronto roads are slick as ice when compared to the ones we have in Montreal...

When I am on the road in Montreal, I feel like I am on the obsticle course and that when I arrive, I should be awarded for getting there in one piece!

i have to agree,you need to drive in montreal,then you will never ask that question again,toronto's roads are marshmellows by comparison

Most american cars (yank tanks) have such soft suspension that the road surface makes very little difference.

Because you have not enough light-rail !
What you need is a large tram transport scheme for your town and countryside !
