I work for an employment agency and yes they can. Any employee can be fired if the company feels the position is not the right fit. They can only learn that you are not the right fit by hiring you and seeing how you do. Sorry, there is nothing illegal about this, however it will be illegal if they don't pay you for the three days that you worked. Sorry.

In Canada, a company can fire any employer indiscriminantly for any reason withint 90 days of employment. I actually had a job for 2 and a half months and when I told my boss I was pregnant she fired me on the spot. She said, "I don't need pregnant staff. This isn't going to work out." I called the Labour Board and they were all over it until they found out it was within 3 months of employment. Then they dropped me like a hot potato.

Yes. The first 90 days with any company is a probationary period that is used to see if you will be a good fit with the company. During any time during the first 90 days, you can be fired for any reason.

Usually there is a probabtionay period where you can be fired for any reason. 90 days or so at most places. It depends on the company.

Let's put it this way...if they fired you after 3 days, then you are a complete screw up, hard to get along with, or lied about your skill set.

Yes, as long as they are not firing you based on anything illegal (sex, religion, age, etc), then they can usually fire you for pretty much any reason and at any time.
