I'm looking into economy cars. Anyone drive a Chevy Aveo? What do you think of it? What kind of fuel economy are you getting with it? Is it worth the money? Regret buying one? Do you think you would have gone with a different car if you could do it again? Thank you!!!

PS: Looking also into Ford Focus, Chevy Cobalt, Honda Civic and Toy Corolla.

The Chevy Aveo is the smallest of the car's you've listed. It's has good fuel economy, my friend claims to get about 36-38mpg but it feels cheap on the inside. The engine can be heard from the passenger compartement, and acceleration is slow. I don't own one, but have a friend who does. He owns the prior model, they came out with a new model this year so I can't speak for the newer model.

If you are looking at the Chevy Aveo, look at comparable sized cars such as the Honda Fit, the Toyota Yaris, Scion xA & xB, the Nissan Versa, Hyundai Accent, Kia Rio or even the Dodge Caliber.

The Aveo is a total piece of crap. The Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla are good cars, but not in the same class as the Aveo. 3 competitors to the Aveo that are a lot better and in the same price range are the Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, and Nissan Versa. They are all very reliable, cheap, and economical cars. Just seriously, don't get an Aveo.

i own a repair shop, and i have a customer that bought one of these and they traded a Toyota corolla in on it,and so far there saying the mileage is better than the Toyota they had,the ride if it is better ,because i have drove both cars, and the aveo rides and drives a little better, they like there's really well and i don't think they have any regrets on buying it,the only problem they have had from there's is a rattle in the door, and the dealer took car of that, other than that its been doing great, and extremely cheap to operate also, the focus is also a good car,and one you didn't list,is the Nissan sentra its as good if not better than any of these, and in about the same price range also, but any of these are good cars and all are good gas savers, good luck i hope this help,s.

It's just as much a chevy as a kia... actually it's more a kia than a chevy - look at the door jamb label. Why not a Honda Fit or a Scion - similar price, better quality, no shame associated with driving a chevy!
