I've been in a similar situation.

When I first took a job on the graveyard shift, I stayed up a full 24 hours or so, then slept my 8 hours. Or tried to, but telemarketers and my landlord and his kids made that a little difficult. After that, I drank a lot of coffee to help stay awake.

Try not to worry over it: That will only rev your body up to fight *something*. But if you're having difficulty getting back to sleep, try drinking a cup of tea before you lay back down. Or perhaps find a book to read for a bit.

Good luck!

Try sleep aids...but you should make sure that you have enough time to devote to sleep so you don't wake up groggy. I drink this stuff called sleepy time teas with Varian root. It relaxes me and is good too.
