not to be too blunt, but if you're still around this ex boyfriend then i'd say your chances of having another miscarriage sound pretty good. If you aren't with him, then there's no medical reason you can't carry to term. I certainly hope you aren't having a baby with a boy who beats you though. get a restraining order and enjoy your pregnancy!

Since you are aware of the reason that you miscarried in the past. Please don't let history repeat itself, and cause you to miscarry again. I had a miscarriage a couple of years ago, but I am now 21 weeks pregnant with a healthy boy. Abuse by a man was in my history as well. Just be strong enough to realize that you can stop that and protect your child. Not trying to judge you whatsoever...We all end up in situations sometimes that we wish were different. Good Luck to you, your baby and your relationship.

No, not if you don't get beat up. If you are getting beat up by your Husband/Boy Friend this will continue to happen. I have a Friend that got beat up while Pregnant and Her Child was born Mental-retarded and live in a wheel chair and the child is 30 Years old and had to live like this all Her Life. The Mother left Her Husband and has had 3 other children with Her second Husband of 20 Years all their children are healthy. Don't let yourself get beat up you are worth more then that. Call someone and get help. If you are getting beat up more then likely your child will get beat up by the same Man...Do you want that. Watch the news, I see it all the time...

You do have a slightly higher risk of miscarriage, but not that much higher to make too much of a difference. Plus as the miscarriages were due to you lovely ex boyfriend and you are not with him any more ( by the sounds of things) then a miscarriage cannot be caused by that again! And if they were only due to that and you have eliminated that prob then I think you should be ok.
If you are worried, ask if you are able to have an early scan just to check up in things. They should let you, knowing your history.
Good luck! x

Not necessarily. I believe when the time is right is when you'll have your child. I was told the same thing, then while on birth control got pregnant and gave birth to a now almost 10 year old little boy. Two years later the exact same thing happened with my little girl. Just be very careful, and follow all doctor's order's. Good Luck!

Did you tell your doctor it was from your boyfriend beating you up? And do you have the same boyfriend, because if you do I would say yeah, there is a very good chance he might just beat the baby out of you again. I hope for your sake you have a better baby daddy this time. Take it easy, don't do anything to strenuous for especiall the first few months and pray.

If the same situation is going on, then you probably are likely to miscarry. It could also depend on how long of a gap there has been between the last miscarriages and this pregnancy.
Take care and good luck with everything.

Is your boyfriend in jail for murder? I wouldn't think that your are more likely to miscarry because of an unnatural cause the previous time. And if your doctor(s) are telling you there is a higher risk........why the question here. I would assume they know more than us. Or at least I hope for your sake.
