Coriolis effect is about the Earth's rotation.
The faster Earth's rotation, the greater the pendulum shift.
NY is 40 degrees north of the equator, so even on June 21, the sun, while at its highest, is still south of due east.
Seasons are most affected by axis tilt. With zero axis tilt, there would only be summer and winter.

1,2,?,2

the last one depends on if the axis of rotation rotates itself.. like the earth.. ours is at an angle which causes some winters to be more harsh than others because of the orientation of the axis of rotation with respect to the sun, if the axis of rotation of the planet with a perpendicular rotation, had its rotation of its axis out of sync with its solar year, and its radius was larger than the change in distance from the sun an elliptical orbit would cause, then 4 would be the answer. that question isn't very good.
