With massive lay off what should the American people do?

I think the worst thing that has happen is the mergering of companies on a global scale, and in my opinion is no different then a monopoly that needs to stop. The US economy is not at the whim for foreign interest. This needs to stop.

Pull out of the three trade agreements wee signed
NAFTA and its sister agreements with Asia and Europe. These are why big companies sent so many jobs to foreign nations. It is why so many companies laid so many Americans off to hire cheap labor in Asia.

I mean really, do really think its a good idea for a foreigner to any nation to have the ability to control our utilities? To be able to turn them off with the press of a button? Talk about a security problem.

Now people will say that these agreements cost lower class jobs, but, made more middle class jobs. This is not true. The lower class jobs went to country and the middle class went to another. The large companies tried to blame it on 9/11. But when the hire people in India after laying Americans off, it is quite obvious it's a lie.
Our current financial state in America can be directly linked to the free trade agreements and any politition that does not oppose those agreements after seeing the evidence should be VOTED OUT. They ARE NOT representing the people of America. Many truly believe Amrerica must suffer to help the world. Well, that means MANY MORE americans will have to LOSE THEIR JOBS.

Get an education and not just one set of skills.
There will always be a need for plumbers, electricans, and techs.
Get a degree.
Be prepare to change careers and learn to adapt quickly to change.

Yes there are lay offs but guess what there are other places looking for people all the time.

Don't think you will start in a corner office with 6 figures.
Start low and work you way up.
Key word WORK at it.
