I am a new author at Publish America. I am getting my book published. I am almost to the point to where it will be in print soon. I was wondering if anyone has heard of my book or websites. Look me up under Tabitha Robin, and tell me what you think about my sites. http://www.tabitha-robin.com I need some info on my layouts for my book. I would like to know if I can advertise my book somehow besides on search engines. Could any one help me with book promotion ideas, bookmarks for my books, and where to get some buisness cards made for a great price. I want to promote my book as well as possible. Any Ideas?

I hope you don't get flagged for abuse for advertising. I tried a similar tactic as this and someone flagged my question.

I'm an author as well. You can read about my novel, Where Did This Come From? at my website, www.LarryNocella.com.

I agree that self-promotion is the toughest part. Search engines work, but I also blog weekly to keep my message hitting the world on a regular basis. I've also sent out news releases to local newspapers and so far, had one story published about me. Dang was I nervous during the interview, but it was cool.

I would recommend printing your own bookmarks and business cards as they can easily be done on your own computer. Stay in touch and best of luck!

For starters, you could shamelessly use the Internet, by posting stuff on Yahoo! answers and creating a blog about your book, for example. Nothing wrong with self-promotion.

It looks as though you've got the basics down.

But seriously, if you're trying to launch a poetry career, the local level is the best way to go at it. Poetry is very widely still considered to be a living art, especially when new authors are concerned. I would find out where poetry readings are given where you live and attend those regularly, read from your book and maybe other ongoing works. This will get you personally known among a public that has interest in poetry. It's a very competitive market and difficult to break, but best of luck to you.

If it happened, animals generally have a better sense of hearing than humans, so prove that animals can't hear burning bushes talk.

You should go to family christian stores, see if they will sell your book, because it seems like your book is pretty christian-organized. go to your local church and see if they will help you out. don't advertise in public places too much, or people will get mad at you, because religion is a touchy subject. you should also try to seel to military families with members deployed, lots of them need some support and something to bolster their faith. you should try to get it on amazon, and do their little blog thing, if you're the author of the book, they let you post stuff on your book's page.

also: please tell whoever made that website to get rid of the little blue things because they are distracting.
