Guys really, really don't want presents on Valentines Day. They just want sme extra special loving, and that costs nothing. Give him the card while your naked or near-naked, and he'll be very pleased.

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

I wouldn't mind not getting anything. It is really a holiday for the ladies, really any gift receiving holiday is for the ladies. I can be content with nothing, but time off and some fun things to do.

One year I couldn't afford to get my mom anything for her birthday. I made her some "coupons", cleaning the house, cooking dinner, cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming the car...things I knew she would like. That ment more to her than if I had gone out and spent my entire paycheck on something she really didn't need.

One year I made little heart coupons because cash was short. Things like good for one back rub, good for one foot massage etc... and he loved it. Remember it is not what you give or get that shows how much you love someone. :)

No. If he truely loves you, he will know about your finacial status. He will know not to expect something extravagant.
A card, considering your financial status, would be perfect.
