I would go, IF everyone else that went had to pass a values and knowledge test proving they were smart and caring enough to create a sustainable civilization, and IF conditions for life seemed reasonably permanent (not having to live in a giant tent or something), and IF there wasn't a concern about a lot of social weirdness from being in a smaller, isolated group. I think it'd be a delusion to figure my line has a better chance of survival on another planet, but I wouldn't say it's a worse chance either; mainly I'd go if it were a chance to have an extremely rare firsthand experience, being among the establishing members of an interstellar colony.

I think there would be too many factors and "if"s involved in making such a decision.
generally I like this world, and the only reason I would travel far was if I Wanted space, solitude, maybe to be away from humans for a while- not the world itself, but it's population.
would leaving earth solve that?
I think if it was possible to migrate to a diffrent place it would become like Ibitza- and I personally would find no joy in going there.
I raher have the choice to fly to some remote shore, or field (or take a walk with my dog in the country side) then leave this earth we have so terribly abused.

Our moon was the result of a horrific collision with earth that actually knocked a chunk off into outer space. If the planet can survive that, then I believe we can survive anything.
Besides, how do we know there's going to be a McDonald's or Burger King where we're going?

Do you have any idea how long interstellar travel would take? Even if we sent people on a mission to populate another planet, they would never make it there alive.
Terra-forming mars or the moon makes much more sense, and there are no ambient life forms to bother.

I think that would be too amazing of an opportunity to pass up. Even if it was guaranteed that Earth would be around for another billion years, I'd still go.

I think it will depend on personal views,,, bcz exploring the new habitat may be a great thing which seems to be on today as one of the costliest, hard thing!!!!!!!!!SO CAN'T IT BE IN A WAY that preserving the habitat provided to us by stopping the pollution ... It is a million dollar question how it can be???????? Just doing one thing it can happen !:::: making sme sort of restriction to our need we can do it !!!!!!!!

I would leave. things here are set. our ideals, morals, standard. that isnt really much to look forward too. as compared to another world. there although we would be basically the same ( a human) , there would be a world to explore. buildings to build. standards to set up. it would be both challenging and fun. the world would be less sophisticated slower and hopefully less stressful.

I like earth, and I love my life here. We may have made mistakes, but I wouldn't trade and start fresh anywhere else...

I would stay here and send the most annoying Hollywood Star's to Mars. We could check back and observe to see how they create their own society.
