Can a doctor determine you are not a virgin anymore?

I need to go to the OBGYN but I am worried the doctor will tell my parents I am not a virgin anymore...is this possible?will the doctor find out im not a virgin??how??thanks!

If you are worried about this, check with the HIPPA Privacy Officer at the medical clinic/office/hospital where your doctor practices. Most major hospitals and clinics have one of these people on their staff. But if you really are female, then yes the doctor will be able to tell, but doctors aren't allowed to tell parents.

i don't know if they can tell or not. but they are not soppose to tell your parents whether u r a virgin or not. u should let your dr. know u r sexually active so they can test u for std's. u must be seeing the gyn because obgyn is for pregnant women and overthere they assume u r not a virgin.

Actually, not with any certainty he cannot. The hymen can be broken other ways - like horse riding etc.
And he is bound by confidentiality not to tell anyone so fon't worry.
