The songs that the Oompa Loompa's sing when the children are lost in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Johnny Depp's version) are incredible.

My favouriite though has got to be Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's chest. The bit on the organ is out of this world

There have been so many that it is hard to pick one. Among these have been some classical pieces--"Also Sprach Zarathustra," by Richard Strauss in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, and a bunch of Mozart compositions in Amadeus. It's hardly fair to compare other movie music to the classics.

John Williams has written a lot of great movie scores--including Star Wars, Superman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and the moving Empire of the Sun. Then there is the music from the Godfather by Nino Rota.

But you seem to be talking about songs. In this area, I'd have to mention Let the River Run (from Working Girl) by Carley Simon; Goldfinger, by John Barry; Moon River (from Breakfast at Tiffasny's), by Henry Mancini; and Laura, by David Raksin (from Laura).
