There is a 70% chance of india not kissing the world cup! The key players are all above 30 and too many newcomers like Robin Uthappa and Sresanth have been chosen. Newcomers' consistency should be checked before the selectors finalise the team.

The best indian team going for the World Cup after the 1983 Presidential Cup. India has found good openers in Ganguly and Uthappa, with Sehwag in there too. Yuvraj, Dravid, Dhoni and Tendulkar steady the middle order to form one of the best middle order batting. Lower middle order of Kumble, Harbhajan, Zaheer can hit a few runs too.
As on bowling - Zaheer and Sreesanth/Munaf Patel will be opening and are not as bad. Kumble, Harbhajan and Sachin - Sehwag can bowl many spin overs between them. That leaves one guy extra. He can be employed as a strike bowler - Irfan/Sreesanth or Dinesh Kaarthick as the 11th guy. Irfan can bat as well.
It is a very powerful batting line-up, and make take a beating on their bowling lineup.
Quality Fielders are in plenty - Yuvraj, Uthappa, Sachin, Kaarthick. Fielders like Munaf Patel will have to be hided on the field.
There are all winning chances for India. India will reach the semi-finals for sure.

If Indian players perform to their potential with lot of dedication, application, determination and fighting spirit defenitely Indian players can have a chance to win the world cup and kiss the cup.

according to me India has a good chance to win the world cup because the batsmen and the bowlers are performing equally well and the present series won by India against Sri Lanka proves my answer

Sure. Just because it's the World Cup, there's no special rules on their behavior in the showers after the match, only on the pitch.

This team is an absolute useless team....The catching hidings all over the show!!!!
The only other team worse than them is Pakistan......! Poor guys look like they playing hockey on the cricket pitch..
I dunno Asian teams are not what they used to be....its sad, but i hope at least one team from Asia wins at least!!!!

they are good on indian pitches only.....i think they wont reach the semis....they ll bow out in the super 8's
