You know everyone is glamorizing this woman like she was some real do gooder. Despite the birth of her new beautiful baby & her supposed love/dedication to her son before he died, this woman could not stay away from drugs & was a constant whiner who craved the spotlight more than her health. She has always been a bit imbalanced in the head & if you ask me, an unfit parent. If this was NOT a murder & she died of an overdose &/or mixing a trillion kind of drugs, it ain't so newsworthy! Why are we so obsessed with making this woman some kind of idol? Kurt Cobain, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, all a bunch of whining drug addicts who couldn't keep their crap together, despite that they had EVERYTHING. I am so sick of the pedestal our society puts on rewarding BAD behavior with celebrity hero status. ENOUGH ABOUT ANNA NICOLE, she is in a better place now & let's all hope her baby gets adopted by some REAL parents who will care for her right.

YES YES YES
Thank god someone else feels the way I do I don't understand the fuss over her.
She is stripper, turned playboy centerfold, model and then constant train wreck drug addict and pill popper. All the media did when she was alive was criticize her, poke fun, and that ridiculous show of hers where she couldnt even talk half the time... "are you kidding"
I don't understand what is going on with the world today where a person like this is made into an icon.
She was a poor role model for young women and obviously couldn't stand up long enough to be respected by anyone. FIVE men claiming to be the child's father COME ON, she should have spent more time off her back and more time dedicated to being a productive human being.

I also hope that poor little girl gets some proper parenting and a normal upbringing now. I hate to say it but that baby is much better off without the likes of a drug addicted, man eating women like Anna. What next are we going to give Courtney Love mother of the year? America needs to wake up and stop obsessing over trashy celebrities!

good rant---i agree with you about anna nicole to a degree. kurt cobain, marilyn monroe and elvis presley not so much........having material possesions isn't having everything-there still can be mental illness (in the case of kurt), lonliness (in the case of marilyn), being in an abusive or controlling relationship (again marilyn and her movie studio) and personal and professional failure (elvis presley). take a look at marvin gaye who was murdered by his own father after a long battle with parinoia and drug addiction--even when he was on top of the music charts the money he was making was little to none and he was still suffering from mental illness and drug addictions (which is a REAL disease). Even though i too am sick of hearing about Anna Nicole Smith and I do believe the press is glorifiying her terrible death it is still a tragic event. The dead does deserve some respect. Do some research into some famous celebrities who suffered tragic deaths and learn the reasons why (Marvin Gaye, Dorthy Stratten, Sid Vicious, Johnny Thunders, Kurt Cobain, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley etc.) and you just might learn something

First of all who do you think you are calling her an unfit parent? Did you know her personally. Do YOU know that the media 95% of the time puts to much emphisis on the bad and not the good . NOBODY cares about good behavior it don't sell. OH and you said and I quote "supposed love/dedication to her son " SHE WAS A PARENT and I don't DOUBT her love and dedication for her son for 1 minute she's still human you know

it would look lots bigger issues are happening in this international, yet a lot of folk p.c. to forget approximately those matters and concentration on petty crap ala Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Spears. that's the incredibly unhappy area. no longer many care approximately considerable matters basically blonde drugged out bimbos.

I agree with you , but its all our fault...we like these news, we buy the mags and comment on the gossip.
Just because it makes us feel better that someone who almost had it all is a complete lost case therefore life is not so bad in the real world.
Just feel sorry for the baby she left behind, but sooner or later she will benefit from the gossip of her mothers life, get money for it and we will soon be reading up on her problems. As she gets caught for drunken driving with no panties on ...
Thats Celebrity status !!
The bad news sells !

Tell it like it is! Everyone else can take a number, and I'll get back to You on the whole "sympathy" thing, and how it relates to My feelings about yet another drug addict falling off Their perch! Death by drug overdose, irregardless of the reason, is still nothing more than soneone else's "self inflicted wound" that We are supposed to grieve over.

I am!!! Just because she is famous doesn't mean that everyone should make a big deal about her, what about all the people that die? Don't they matter? I don't think they anyone should make a BIG deal about one person and then if the same thing happens to someone else they don't care. I'm just saying if some one else dies the same way Anna Nicole did, then I would like to see everyone on the news!!!! And just drop Anna Nicole, she's just like everyone else!!!!!!!!

I know her life is a soap opera, but I'm so sick of the media comparing her to Marilyn Monroe. There are so many child abuse stories that need our attention and information about our troops that have not gotten any coverage. Come on, they need to get their priorities straight.

Well, whether she "deserved" her fame, she was famous both for her modeling and her court battles. Also, this is not necessarily a simple "overdose", I think it is fair to say that she died under "suspicious" circumstances. So this story will be in the news at least until it is proven exactly how she died AND who fathered her child.

You are so right.

We should be watching the reports of the slaughtering of our troops in Iraq.

Sorry, I rather follow the Anna story then get further depressed over that damn war our idiot president got us into. The only Iraq story I want to read is the one about how the drunken twins got sent over there to fight.
