How can you find your own IP address?
If using a wireless connection with a router how does it know the IP? If the connection was used already would trying to use another wireless connection conflict? Can a third party change an IP ? Anything other info that would help with IP addresses would be very grateful, Thanks.

type "ipconfig" in the command prompt

if you set the ip config to AUTO it uses dhcp thing to determine the ip automatically. if you want to change the ip configuration, assuming you're using windows xp, go to control panel,. network connections, and right click the connection you want to change, click properties... click the tcp/ip properties. you can change the ip there.
