Call local bars that have live bands and try to get booked also look for any battle of the bands that may be coming up. Keep calling all around and asking everywhere. Persistance is your fried when you are startign out. Even play house parties, it will help you get some exposure and experience of playing in front of a crowd. You should also have like a 3 song demo to play for any perspective booker.

Make a demo DVD and go around to the small local taverns and ask if they would look at it, and let them know you would like to play there. I don't know your music, but go to small local clubs, or places of meetings and ask if you could play a couple of songs for them.
Make or have someone help you make a DVD or a CD that you could hand out.
It takes a lot of leg work and beggin in the beginning, but if you believe in yourself and your band is good, it will work !!
** Good Luck **
