Did they do a vaginal ultrasound? That is the only way to see the baby at this time. I had an u/s at 5 weeks to make sure I didn't have a tubal pregnancy. They found the sac in the uterus, but that was all you could see. At 7 weeks I had another u/s and this time you could see the baby in the sac and see the heartbeat flicker on the monitor.
The only thing I can figure is maybe you aren't as far along as you think. The only other option is that perhaps you miscarried and your hcg levels haven't gone to zero yet. You should really be asking questions to your doctor. If you only had an u/s and didn't see the doctor, then make sure you call the office and get some answers from the doctor. Good luck.

properly, if there grew to become right into a miscarriage till now inflicting the embryo to perish and as a consequence you are able to't see it, i think of your physique would of rejected it via now. Miscarriages generally ensue quite speedy. it is attainable the infant could no longer be considered via form of ultrasound. in the event that they are doing the ultrasound the place they positioned a paddle on your tummy, then that's too early. Then they'd desire to be doing a vaginal ultrasound. It additionally could be via fact your bladder grew to become into no longer finished. Direct quote from a FAQ's web site: "an entire bladder is generally mandatory whilst the test is finished abdominally and interior the early area of being pregnant. this would have a tendency to enhance the uterus up in trouble-free terms a sprint and being in front displaces the bowels away and act as an echo-lucent homestead windows for the ultrasound to bypass via."

Weird. Maybe the baby is hiding. Perhaps the camera can't pick up exactly where the baby is. Or, this is VERY rare, but it could have attached outside your uterus. But I think that is even more rare than quadruplets. But it could happen.

You should probably set up another appointment as soon as possible or ask your doctor what could be going on. You aren't going to get any rest until you find out so you should get on that fast. Good luck.
