We have been together almost 4 years. Our relationship has been rocky since the beginning. Anytime we have a disagreement she breaks up with me. I am always the one trying to make amends and fighting for the relationship. On Saturday we got into a physical fight which led to us breaking up. I really love her and I called on her on Monday and Tuesday and she just hung up in my face. I have apologize for my actions and I am sincerely sorry. Everything is not my fault but she has not said sorry to me yet. Thats fine!! Today is Valentines and I am feeling inclined to send her a gift should I?

two immature people can't be in a relationship together especially if it has stooped to physical assault not even on Valentine's day. Sounds like you have to do the hard thing and put time and space between you; stop calling, no cards, no drive bys; you need to get some help as well; counseling , self help books ; a relationship like yours is doomed; it is true and only a matter of time; stop going back to the only type of relationship that you have known, one that doesn't work ; make this a Valentine's gift to you; to move on , grow, change and don't look back; cancer grows wild and this relationship has all the ear markings of a cancerous relationship ; you have to know what you can change and know what you can't and the wisdom to know the difference. get help so you can enter into a healthy relationship someday and don't even try until you fix the things that you contributed to pollute this one. It takes two. Good Luck! No Valentine's calls nor gifts !!

I think you should take a moment to stop and examine this relationship. If she is willing to walk away at the slightest provocation then she probably would not make a good long-term partner. And the fact that you got into a physical confrontation means there's more tension then is healthy. You've stated that you're the one always making amends and that nothing is your fault, so you obviously feel that she's not trying to keep the relationship together and is the one causing problems. So in light of those facts I'm going to say no. Do not get her a Valentine's gift. It's better to walk away and try to find someone who won't be willing to run whenever there's a problem. Just because you've grown used to putting your face into the fire for the past four years doesn't mean you should continue doing it just because it's familiar.

No...well its been rocky and sounds like things weren't going so well. Forget about the gift, she broke up with you. Go out and have some fun with the guys that are single...so something fun! Forget about your ex...in the mean time, you'll get over her. I know it would be hard to get over her, cuz you two were together for 4 years, but you'll ever over trust me. Go out for a drink, go bowling, have fun! Forget about the lady...have a great time!!!
As a Matter of fact, for you being single...don't think about Valentines Day...the more you think about it the more stressed out you are gonna get.
Just have fun today and relax...don't think about her!

Sounds like youre the only one interested in making it work and since it got physical, as you said, it probably isnt worth saving and whomever was physical needs to find a therapist to work through that with. I say cut your losses and move on.

you want to "ween" your self. She is no longer your lady friend and think ofyou've got were given to commence questioning and performing like that. no longer in elementary words do you ought to no longer provide her any form of present, you want to renounce conversing with her so many times. i recognize you want to proceed to be hopeful...although that's been 4 months already you want to commence accepting the breakup. in case you in elementary words ought to do something on Valentines day..provide your mom flora, or your sisters.

I think you've done all you can do. If she wants a relationship let her make the first move.
