Of course. But the key is NOT to do something for someone to be thanked but out of the goodness of your heart. In other words, they don't have to be grateful if they don't wanna. They should! But they don't have to.

Yes! I still try and be nice, polite, chivalrous, and becoming of an adult but it is getting harder.
When I open a door for what I considered to be a lady and get abuse I start to think of females as potential lesbians or man haters - this has left me with a slight distrust for women on the whole but I shall get over it by saying something interllectual to the next less than lady type that I come accross.
Some thing in the region of "Well if you want to be considered as less than a lady -thens its fine with me " turn my back and carry on with my day. I do realise that snubbing people does hurt their emotions.

Yes... many times, but I'm nice to them anyway, cause then it makes them really regret being ungrateful. It really works!!!!!

All the time!
My X hubby is one of them, and I have a friend with a small baby (she's not married) and I keep helping her out with money, and then she takes ages to pay it back. Then, when she does, she borrows it again after a few days! I guess I'm just a sucker for punishment!

It pains me to admit that my bedside manners would desire to apply somewhat progression. some thing approximately announcing those words, like "please," "thank you" and all that bs purely looks so tousled. I would desire to be waiting to declare what I advise to declare and then be finished with it. i don't understand why people require plenty insurance that they are "liked" or that... some thing. i do no longer understand. besides the indisputable fact that, I understand that there is a prefer for the style of irrational habit. stable manners ability stable impressions. announcing the stuff makes people experience happier, momentarily. it is likewise a great con, of course, making somebody susceptible via screwing with their fragile thoughts. So there is truly some call for it. purely clarify that that is stable for furthering and bobbing up relationships with people. do no longer think of of it as making different persons experience heat, comfortable and stupid. Use the "manners" selfishly so as to make weaker minded persons experience risk-free and trusting. this is the only reason this is clever besides. Have a severe high quality day!!! :) <3 <3 <3

yes that happens sometimes but if I am nice to somebody I am always trying not to expect something from that person. I believe you should not only be nice when you are expecting the other person to be nice to you as well.... be nice because you are a nice person and you want to be it... then it will always come back to you ;)
