Limewire is a program (not a site) that you can use to download free music from users all over the world. You can find virtually ANY song on there as it links to the iTunes music libraries stored on people's computers.
Although people say it's full of viruses and spyware, I have never encountered any (scan using Spybot S&D). The program itself is free of nasties, although apparently it does make your computer more susceptible to spyware and the like. If you are well protected (Firewall, Antivirus, Spyware protection, etc) this shouldn't be a problem.
A brief warning: It is VERY illegal in North America and Europe (I don't know about anywhere else) as it violates copyright laws. It does work though, and very well.

http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.

For torrents use.http://www.torrentpond.com/ which will let you search the 15 top torrent sites for what you are looking for. You will then need http://ct.download.com/clicks?t=25677882-6263d01b2c5633450d9d64a6ee1da809-bf&s=5&fs=0
to download the files.
