I would rather be alone, at least you know what to expect if you are with someone you still have that little bit of hope that they will acknowledge today, than when they probably won't than you are hurt and disappointed.

don't know. I am alone and right now I could care less, having love is nice and all but the fact that I didn't even realize that today was Valentines day until some said happy V day to me was great, and it doesn't bother me any now that I realize it either, I am free and single and happy with myself and my life without having to have anybody else other than my friends and my family in it

Being alone and lonely often is so much better than be among thousand of people.. By being alone you really can contemplate everything of yourself and change to be better. You really can hear your own inner voice inside your heart and listen to the voice within your soul. You even could remain happy by being alone. Rather than stay among thousands of people but you feel emptiness in your soul.....

to have someone but not do a damn thing is worse than being alone i think. here i have someone but if i didnt have him and i was alone id whant someone to ignolage the day insted of them being really rude and not do anything

to be alone i guess. i don't put much stock in "today" as being anything special. people should show their love every day and not reserve it for one day of the year.
