ive also seen this deal on dell today! i would have to say AMD.

based on what i saw at the dell website (usa site though) i would choose the 1501 with AMD for these reasons:
1- AMD Turion 64 is Better then the Pentium dual core (if it was Pentium core 2 Duo i would have chosen the second one)
2-the 1501 comes with better graphic card (its ATI 1150) way better then the intel graphic
3-1501 is cheaper

so overall the 1501 is a way better deal.

Get AMD boycott any company like microsoft aka intel/nvidia always go with the little guys AMD/ATI are awesome and work just as well if not better then pentium processors

Well, AMD are the first people to introduce dual core
the major difference is that AMD processors talke very little time for processing because of their design of the interrupt controllers.

Intel also uses same mechanism but they are hotter after some time so go for AMD
