I'm not sure if that's the right spelling. If you saw this movie in the early 70s, what did you think of the story? Did it seem far fetched then and does it seem far fetched to you now? This movie was set in the future when all the oceans had died, farm animals and agriculture had died and people are reduced to eating dead people made into crisps called Soyalent Green.

Far fetched, yet overpopulation and dwindling fresh water supplies make this movie relevant today. Wonder why soyient was green not red though?

Soylent Green is an ok movie......it's far fetched but interesting concept of the end of humanity and our natural resources.

"spoiler alert"
It boast one of the most memorable lines in films, "Soylent Green is people!"
