No. Global Warming is a liberal Myth. It is a way to attempt to control the general populace by using Bushate and Bushfear.
It is odd that the climate changes are not seen as 'nature's own 'check and balance' system''. For a people that put so much stock in nature and evolution, how come the planet cannot be evolving as well?

Laughing Man has hit on one of the things that global warming causes. It can cause cooling in the Northern Hemisphere, especially in European regions.
We gain alot of out warm weather systems by virtue of the Gulf Stream which works like a convection heater. Warm water travels from the Gulf of Mexico up past the coast of Ireland and brings warm air with it. The water cools as it comes northwards, sinks to the bottom of the ocean and travels down to Mexico again where is subsequently warms up again, rises and repeats its cycle. Now this system relies on a certain amount of salt in the water. With glacial melting and the rapid melting of the polar ice cap more and more fresh water is pumped into the system and this in turn disrupts the efficiency of the system and results in less warm weather systems being oushed northward and thus we get extreme cold weather periods.
As for those who claim it is a liberal myth, when you watch your grandchildren die of skin cancer, lung diseases and other pollution related diseases, not to mention malaria and other tropical diseases which will move with the increased temperatures, you will all probably cry "Why didn't the liberals do anything about this?" Well you can direct that comment to your neo con leaders!

As I'm learning more about event...the key here is the glacier ice. If the glaciers melt due to warming regardless of man made or natural events...then fresh water from the melting glaciers enters the oceans which causes a desalination of the oceans. The oceans current change which in turn changes our weather pattern get altered. Based on passed patterns...global warming is a brief period in geological terms, which is followed by a long term ice age. I think it would be best if we got of carbon based fuels.

It's just winter. It will go away by April.
As you develop and grow in life you will learn that every year when the hours of daylight are shorter the weather is cold.
Global warming is so minimal no one can sense it. Which makes it a great marketing scheme. So hurry out and buy a green product.

But that would mean that man made global warming is a myth. The environmentalist movement is based on man made global warming.

some of it is, but the fact that you say believers of global warming like it is a myth is what worries me, maybe you should go out and rent the movie An Inconvenient Truth, might give you a lot more insight into what you are looking for, it is a good movie but just to warn you it is a documentary with former Vice President Al Gore, but you will definitely learn from it

Global warming aka global climate change is a GLOBAL change in CLIMATE.
Not a LOCAL change in WEATHER.
There's a huge difference.
Understanding this difference will help you understand the phenomenon. I suggest the union of concerned scientists web site as a starting point.

I just want to know what weather patterns are NOT indications of global warming/climate change.
Everytime I turn around, every weather event - hot, cold, floods, drought, etc. - seems to be linked to the theory.
So what is NOT linked to it?

Global warming does not mean that everything warms up. What it does do is put more moisture in the air which leads to more snow, more powerful hurricanes, etc.
