I usually go with my friends using thomson (crystal ski). Pretty cheap, not usually the nicest apartments when you go on the cheap but good all round budget holidays. At the end of the day you get what you pay for!

Not to sure where you are but if you are in the uk try
www.skiweekends.co.uk

I have used them before, you can travel outward by coach and return by plane or you can come and go by coach. They sort out your hotel i think i payed £170 for 4 days skiing. This is with your hotel included and thats half board. If you can put up with the coach journey its not to bad.
They go to the 3 valleys in france, this is a superb resort and good for all levels from beginner to dare devill.
IMHO i think it one of the best resorts in france especially merribel

Chamonix, France is a good resort and St. Moritz, Switzerland and Zermatt, Switzerland. Anywhere in the alps is good.
