Humans kind of do have regeneration powers, like hair skin and nails, just not able to regrow limbs. I think God drew the line there, maybe so we could be envious of spiders and such creatures.

Humans do have regeneration power. It depends that a particular organ has the regeneration power upto what extent. Liver has the highest regeneration power in the human body. Even a half cut liver is able to regenerate itself to full in just a short span of time. Other organs also try to regenerate but the problem is that their cells are not able to divide very very fast so as to make the entire portion which is removed from the organ
I hope this much is enough???
Have a nice time

Our nails, hair and the outermost skin layer are all dead tissues. There is no blood or veins flowing through these. So when you cut our hair or scrape your skin, the next layer of cells which were alive till sometime but are now dead grows in its place. The half moon shape thing at the base of your nail is the place where live growing cells are. The dead cells keep piling outwards.
Regeneration is looked upon only as regeneration of Live tissue; like a complete limb in salamanders.

hey infact i've read it a in a science mag. the scientist have located the gene which is responsible for cell generation. and they've located it in lizards. they only have to reproduce the same gene and test it on a human being an see if it works. if it really works even people with cut arms or legs will regain their parts of the body. in fact even we do have the genes but only in a particular region.

Apparently livers grow back. Maybe the ancient Greeks knew that, that's why in the myth Prometheus gets his liver eaten.
