Hello. Anybody plz help me. What are the precaution steps involved in experiment 'extraction by separation'?

I did this labwork using iodine 1.0 M as an aqueous solution and CCl4 as an organic solution. Who can help me, giving as much as u can, precaution steps in handling the experiment? Plz... Thanx

What labwork? Apparently you have a bipasic mixture of aqueous iodine and carbon tetrachloride. A separatory funnel will make the separation easier. Precautions would include safety glasses, gloves and a fume hood.
