Im sure the Maloofs would like to , especially if they dont get the city to build a new place for them to play...its pretty well known they have a nice stake in Vegas already with the Palms...they would be on top of the city , the true 'kings' of vegas...besides that wooden joint they play in is a cave compared to some of the newer arenas...

Doubt Vegas will get a team at least not while Stern is there. They won't pull the Hornets from N.O. until after several years of poor attendance. But they will get every opportunity to make it in N.O. Shinn has said if that happens he will look at OKC again, depending on where the Sonics end up. And since the Sonics were bought by an OKC group, if they relocate it will more than likely be to OKC. Leaving the Hornets to probably KC because of the new Sprint Center that has just been built. I could really see the Kings in Vegas, all of it makes sense but really don't think its logically going to happen. Maybe there will be another team that will have arena problems or attendance problems after a few years and give the NBA time to adjust to Vegas as an NBA town.

I think that the Maloof family would be better off moving the Sacramento Kings to Las Vegas so that all of their financial interests will be centrally located.
The Northern CA area already has the Golden State Warriors and they are going to improve to the level of the Kings. The Arco Arena is fairly new, but when I visited the Thomas & Mack Center at UNLV, that venue would be perfect for them!

I think the Sonics will be the team to move. The Kings do well at their home stadium always selling out, and the league likes the Hornets in either OK. or New Orleans.

That would be great for the league but that won't happen. The only thing that was keeping David Stern from doing that all these years is that he is very much against betting on the nba. And seeing as that betting in Vegas isn't going away anytime soon, there also won't be a team in Vegas soon.
