The kids that deserve these days are being born these days. So, where is the problem?

What's always been the matter with kids. Didn't your psychologist tell you, it's their parent's fault! (Which may explain a lot.) That and the hormonal changes. *shudder* You couldn't pay me enough to go through that again.

There's so much expected of them nowadays. They get jobs earlier, they're expected to learn more in school, they're expected to look like Paris Hilton or Chad Michael Murray, they're expected to be cool, listen to their parents and not give into peer pressure. You'd be screwed up too.

--There is indeed something terribly wrong with the attitudes of all mankind. But as you say there is something seriously scarry about our young ones today.
--Some of the mayhem they have committed as a 1976 report made of children between 2-8 years of age murdering their younger relatives in sadistic ways, was shockiing.
--Bullying by younger people is the number 1 cause for teenage suicides in the USA.--Reported on Dr. Phils
--There is indeed a spirit or attitude that is very volatile and it is described in the Bible in many ways. But equally as bad is the view that adults have that it is just a phase and they act so easy going about it, in the many cases, I've as a teacher have examined.
--Note please some texts in the Bible that reveal what can contribute to it! In reference to the young, the first few chapters of Prov. is directed by God toward young ones:

(Proverbs 1:31-33) “. . .. 32 For the renegading of the inexperienced ones is what will kill them, and the easygoingness of the stupid is what will destroy them. 33 As for the one listening to me, he will reside in security and be undisturbed from dread of calamity.””

--If you notice the easygoing attitude of "the stupid" relates to adults with lack of resolutness. Going on with stronger admonition:

(Proverbs 30:11) “11 There is a generation that calls down evil even upon its father and that does not bless even its mother.”

(Proverbs 30:12) “12 There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes but that has not been washed from its own excrement.”

--Does not that describe the so-called enlightened society and the braggadocio attitude that people are so proud to enhance in our young people today. The fact of the filth that parents allow their children to be involved in with in the hollywood scene, where in some movies young people engage in sadistic mayhem, immoral sex, being raped, having affairs with older adults(teachers etc.)

--Not to be an alarmist but we are indeed living in the period that is crying for intervention and indeed it has not come, does not and will not come from mankind, to cure this illness that prevails. Most people pray "thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" and do not realize they are asking for God to take complete charge of the sick scenario: Please note--

(2 Timothy 3:1-13) “3 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. .....13 But wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse, misleading and being misled.”

Interestingly this of course does not mean that there are not some young ones who have the bravery and fortitude to try and do what is right, but the radical element among adults & the young has a powerful attitude of rebellion from God and his principles. Note how this spirit(similar to a party, violent crowd) or attitudes can be a very strong force as described:

(Ephesians 2:1-2) “2 Furthermore, [it is] YOU [God made alive] though YOU were dead in YOUR trespasses and sins, 2 in which YOU at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience. . .”

--If you note the phrase, "the authority of the air, the spirit"(attitude) that permiate--similar to the Sodom & Gomorrah situation in which the men & boys of Sodom wanted to rape(most likey gang rape) the two angelic visitors of Lot(Gen. 19:1-11)

--If in fact you are a parent or a concerned relative you might want to obtain the book "QUESTIONS YOUNG PEOPLE ASK--ANSWERS THAT WORK" --in over 49 languages, from Jehovah Witnesses that contain subjects of every kind. Part of the preface reads:

*** yp p. 5 Foreword—Answers That Work ***

‘WHY DON’T my parents understand me?’ ‘Should I give drugs and alcohol a try?’ ‘What about sex before marriage?’ ‘How do I know if it’s real love?’ ‘What does the future hold for me?’...............However, the real secret to the success of “Young People Ask . . . ” lies in the fact that the answers given have been based, not upon theory or personal opinion, but upon the eternal truths found in God’s Word, the Bible. ‘The Bible?’ you may ask. Yes, it has much to say to young people. (See Proverbs, chapters 1-7; Ephesians 6:1-3.) It was inspired by our Creator, who is keenly aware of “the desires incidental to youth.” (2 Timothy 2:20-22; 3:16) And while human society has changed much since Bible times, youthful desires have changed little. The Bible is thus as current as ever. We have endeavored, though, to present the Bible’s counsel in such a way that youths do not feel preached to, but, rather, reasoned with. And while the material has been written primarily with youths among Jehovah’s Witnesses in mind, it can be read and enjoyed by anyone who has respect for the practical wisdom contained in the Bible."

--If you so wish you can view the book on our "official web page" at the address below which will enable you to see the many subjects on family & other pertinent subjects have been dealt with. You may order a copy at no charge from this site.

Hope this might have been of some enlightment.
