I want to comment you for keeping the baby and doing what is best for him/her. You are in a very difficult situation and anyone could of just aborted the baby and not gave it a second thought but you didn't and that is wonderful. I am not sure how it works in the Caribbean but, I am sure that they have lawyers and adoption agency's/ You should contact your attorney if you have one or call the adoption agency. If you cannot do that or don't have one then, call the hospital that your going to have your baby at and ask for the labor and delivery ward and explain the situation to them and they will be able to help you because they do have social workers there and they can lead you in the right direction. Good luck to you and God Bless.

I think your doing the right thing, if you can't afford another child then don't do it. You given the baby up for adoption isn't a bad thing, people do, do this so the child can have a better life with someone who will take care of him/her. I am looking to adopt through department of social services in my area(MA) but, I am in the early stages of it, I have had one home visit with the agency so far. I have three grown children 23, 26, and 21, and I have three grands ages 4, 2, and 9 months but, they live in Atlanta. So take care of your self and don't stress over this every thing will work out. Do you have family that will take the baby?

I have 2 adopted kids and we went through an attorney- so look in the phone book for a adoption attorney. Also you can travel somewhere to have your child. Most cities have adoption attorneys. I want to say how happy I am to hear that you are placing your child for adoption, not aborting that baby. It is a huge sacrifice of love.

That's wonderful that you would like to place your baby for adoption. Much better than aborting. Talk to your OBGYN and see what they advise.
I would also recommend looking in the phonebook and see if there are any adoption agencies locally. They can work with you and help you with the process. Good luck!

I too am placing my child for adoption, but my due date is this coming Monday. All I did was look in the phone book and asked my dr. about some adoption placement. Just ask your dr. they should be able to help you somehow.

Ask your local clinic or ob/gyn. They can connect you with a local adoption center. Some churches may have some information on it, too.
