the child had complications when born.my daughter has problems at her home with stepchildren and motherinlaw and their is smoking drinking and partying going on over there allthe time.my daughter thought best to leave the baby with us and she came every day and took care of her at our home . the father would come about 2 0r3 evenings a week for a couple of hours.what times they took the baby to their home there was always some fight going on.the father has never insisted the baby go home and has also brought her back anytime they would take her off somewhere. they are divorcing and now he wants custody because his stepchildren and mother thinks he can and blame the mother for leaving the baby with us but the baby was here with his knowledge and he has never tried to take her to his home to live.this is really a jealousy thing among the paternal grandmother and his children which are 14 and 17 years of age and in all kinds of trouble with the law , paternal granmother a alcoholic

The only way you will be able to keep the baby there with you is to have your daughter move in with you. This shows the court that the child will have a familiar surrounding and still be with at least one parent. As for the husband getting custody of the child, that is a very possible scenario unless you can get the citations and arrest record of everyone in the house. Well, maybe not everyone but at least the key figures. I got custody of my kids too, but I didn't play nice! I fought hard for them and trashed my ex with every vindictive fiber in my body. This isn't the time to be a sweet heart! This is war and the child is the casualty before it even starts. Next problem is his visitation! You can't request he not have it or YOU look bad. However, you can request visitation in a safe environment, which just happens to not be their house.

Have your daughter go to family court, there is no Judge that would let that loon take your Grandbaby. Good luck.
