Ok first of all you need about 14 people (including you which is 14) the extra 3 is the substitutes. Your three subs must be positioned as a MF or Defenders. Then you have your 11 main team. You need to find a formation for you team strategy. Most soccer team starts with:
F -MF-D -GK (goalkeeper)
3-4-3-1
This is a nice strategy for you main team, as a well equaled out team of attacking and the form of defefnding the ball. If your more of an offensive team, try:
4-3-3
If you more of a defensive player start off with:
2-3-5
Also MF is mostly to attack and defend, you will need a well balanced players. Defenders must communicate with their GK to help defend the goal. Forward are mainly to wait until the midfielder pass them the ball or the defender shoots a long range ball to them.
Stick with my tips and your own football team (soccer) will be succesful. If you can't.... get yourself a coach.
