It's an archaeological site in today's Bahrain home of an ancient civilisation which had contacts both with Mesopotamia and the Indian subcontinent. It was sort of an entrepot for various traded goods including pottery, jewelry and other artefacts, so there;'s definitely an archaeological treasure to be found there and not a farce.
