Formula

Distance = rate x time

d = rt

Since you know the rate (60 mph)

to find the distance traveled in 3 hours

d = 60(3)

d = 180 Miles

Distganc traveled in 4 hours

d = rt

d = 60(4)

d = 240 Miles

distance traveled in 5 hours

d = rt

d = 60(5)

d = 300 Miles

a) The formula for calculating distance (d) is speed (s) *time (t)

In three hours at 60 mph, will result in 60*3 miles being covered=180miles.

b) In four hours at 60 mph, will result in 60*4 miles being covered=240miles.

c) d=st, as s =60, then d=60t
