Clots signify the cleansing of the uterus lining. I don't have experience with periods while pregnant. I do know of friends that had spotting, but not a full blown period with clotting.
I'd make an appointment with your obgyn/midwife. Tell them the situation and have them squeeze you in today. They can do an ultrasound so you can look at the baby and see the heartbeat. That way you won't worry unnecessarily.

I had "periods" through out my whole nine month pregnancy and my son was born on time and completely healthy. You want to talk with your OB about this though, because my condition turned out to be something called Placenta Previa. Just means things are a bit upside down in there, but it is something you and your doctor should know about for sure. Try not to worry and enjoy your pregnancy. There's no other experience like it!

I heard of a lot of women having periods through out there pregnancy and all was ok but I'd worry about the clot and want to get that investigated.
On a personnel level my mum had heavy bleeds through out her pregnancy and was omitted to hosiptal a few times and they thought she had miiscarried but my sister was a fighter and survived.
Hope you have a happy ending to x

I've heard it's possible, but if you've confirmed the pregnancy and this is happening now, I'd go straight to A & E to get checked out, as you're better finding out for sure. Hope everythings OK.

gentle bleeding isnt uncommon before everything of a being pregnant yet cramping is by no ability a stable element. i'd circulate to the ER if the cramps are accompanied with a reasonable quantity of blood. Your physique is going with the aid of extremely some differences yet secure bleeding alongside with cramping isn't a stable element. stable success
