Why do you keep them as pets?

Sounds like they would be great for BBQs.
Of course, you could also use them to melt the snow that threatens to bury your house!

I don't keep mine as a pet. She returns to me on her own, I happened to impress her by mistake, when she was born.
But yes, they can be wonderful pets

i keep my fire lizards in aglass goldfishbowl , much better than lanterns and saves a fortune on candles they also help keep the troll pit cosy and warm
