There are bad people anywhere and everywhere-especially when you meet someone online in chat. You have NO IDEA who this person is... So NO.. DON'T trust this person.

People everywhere can be bad or good. But id say never meet a guy from the internet i have and it turned out for the worst. Don't trust anyone online you never know who they are.

You shouldn't generalize just because of nationality. There are good & bad people anywhere.
Why don't you try chatting to him yourself? It might give you a better clue... although I don't think you can trust any personality until it becomes long term.

If I was you I would be very carefull because the net dosen't represent always real people and this man might just be a criminal that happens actually alot over the net so "esté alerta"
