Important, yet not as much as independence would be. I need a strong woman that is loving, but independent.

To me it is very important not only in
a relationship but in all life in general.
In my past relationships I was the one with the patience
the men i was with never could have patience. For in two relationships
I was a battered woman, i guess that is why it happened to me for being to patient.

patience is a virtue, and it is hard won to say the least, it is a matter of controlling your emotions and that is probably the hardest thing for you to control, they can get very out of hand at times, depending on your life situation and your stress level. It is always better to think about what the other person is thinking. Walk a mile or a meter lol in the other persons shoes.
